Animalhype.com writes,
"Rhinos are highly paradoxical animals; they have strength but choose to be gentle and tolerant. They are lazy but can be aggressive as well. Above all, they look like carnivores but are pure herbivores in reality. Rhinos represent kindness, gentleness, tolerance, and a sense of being grounded. On the other hand, they are also symbolic of authority, ancient wisdom, stability, comfort, and freedom."
The background of this drawing was inspired by Malawian chitenje-wrapped bottle caps that are often fastened together to make useful items like pot holders and coasters. Artisans in Malawi are also expert weavers and wood carvers with a keen and unrestrained sense of color. In this drawing, I'm paying homage to my host country where I've lived since 2019 and its emerging (and often underrated) community of artists and creators.

"I ordered the kick ass donkey for my mom, and the peaceful rhino for my dad, and I know they’re going to love them! The little brown job and tolerance Berlin were for me because I love the colors and shapes. I look forward to seeing more!" -Larisa F. -USA
